As a first year art teacher in Sweden, I discovered what art meant to me for the first time. The first few months after moving from America to a new country were unbelievably stressful.
I kept turning back to illustration as a way to process everything that was happening, to create a healthy relationship with my stress and anxiety - and quickly realized I wanted to do nothing else. I love my students, but I wanted to find a new way to tell their stories and bring storytelling into their life.
Since childhood, illustration has not only been my passion - it is my way of communicating with others and understanding the world around me.
